Donovan Tarjeft found a love for music early on, coming from a long family line of musicians. As a kid, he badly wanted to learn how to play, but couldn’t afford drums of his own or lessons on how to play. So when he found out he could use an old drum set in his high school’s band room after hours, Donovan immediately became an after-school regular. Staying after school every day to practice, Donovan commented, “I would play as long as I could before the janitors would have to kick me out!” He’s a completely self-taught player and his natural ability shined through early on as he began playing gigs professionally at the age of 16! Donovan’s funk and rock influences bring a fresh rock and roll style that drives the sound and defines the feel of Annabelle Road.
